WHEN DID JAPANESE ART AND HISTORY START INTERESTING YOU?

"I've been intrigued by Japanese art as far back as I can remember, but the first 5-6 years of my career I worked in "street-shops" and did all sorts of designs. It all kicked off when I first visited Japan in 2001. I went looking for this special bookstore called "Keibunsha" in Tokyo, selling Japanese tattoo-books only. The shop-owner and I started talking and when he asked me if I wanted him to introduce me to some of Japans most famous tattooists I was over the moon. I've been going back twice a year ever since, studying Japanese art and history, perfecting my art and I have also learned Tebori (Traditional Japanese hand-tattooing),"

WHAT IS II ABOUT JAPANESE ART YOU LOVE SO MUCH AND WHERE AND HOW DO YOU FIND THE INSPIRATION TO CONSTANTLY IMPROVE AND DEVELOP NEW IDEAS, DESIGNS AND TECHNIQUES? "I love Japanese-style art because of the way it looks and sits on the body. The stories and the traditions behind the designs, the depth and endless mystery give this art-style an unmatched power, I strive to constantly improve my work. I could settle with what I have achieved so far.

I MUST ADMIT IT'S AN AMAZING FEELING WALKING THROUGH A MALL SEEING MY WORK

ON "HIGH- STREET FASHION" - KNOWING IT'S SELLING REALLY WELL.
